It is critical to have a rigorous Accrivia backup process in place, and it is important to regularly test the validity of these systems.
To assist with this, we have recently released a document to assist you in completing a 4 point health check of your backup process. These four points include:
1. Backups must include all critical sources of data (discussed in detail in the document)
2. Backups need to be run regularly, preferably daily
3. Your backup strategy should include separate periodic and offsite backups
4. Ensure backups are valid and are able to be restored
This document also includes a sample backup strategy that can be a useful starting point when designing or checking your own backup systems. It can also be be useful to your IT vendors when confirming the scope of backups you require for your system and can be downloaded below:
